Mathematics – The New Social Justice!

Sorry, I haven’t posted here in a couple of months – Fall is such an interesting and driving time. Family in my house always comes first and we have had our share of “family affairs” since August, but all is good. Better than in our schools which have slid off the mountain tops into “social justice” so far I am afraid we will never find our way out.

I started posting about how they are using the different subjects taught t our children to push social justice and now the big one is in how they are manipulating Math to address the subject.

Learning by the Bible to do good, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause and help your fellow man is NOT Social Justice, but being a decent Human Being!

Unless we as a whole stand up and say, “NO MORE – GET YOUR HANDS AND IDEAS AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN AND JUST TEACH THEM” – nothing is going to change. It isn’t going to change because they don’t care about our kids – and theirs go to private schools.

Since most of our legislators have discovered a way to make a lot of money from owning Charter schools and aligning up with multi corporations, I wonder how much they are going to make endorsing and passing legislation regarding vouchers.

I first started researching education when Obama’s take-over ideas began to leak out even before he was elected. Make note parents, George H. Bush was no friend of our children any more than Bill Clinton, the other snake Bushes, Bill Ayers, Lamar Alexander, Rothschilds, Rockefeller’s and the Soros clan.

All of you parents whose children are in the IB Program – are you aware that is a UN/UNESCO curriculum that is Marxist/socialist and in a very subtle way, and costs your schools millions in the long run and the worst of all, it is proprietary and must be accepted for what it teaches – nothing can be changed and textbooks come from them. It does not have to conform to our education curriculum.

One of the first things that really rocked me was in how our children were to learn math and the fact that it didn’t matter if the answers were correct or not, but how they had obtained their answers. So, what I had heard was true, 2+2 = 4 was not the only answer a person could have for this equation; 1+2 could equal 4, 5+4 could equal 4 – it was all ok, just the way you worked the problems and came to your answer was important.

ReThinking MathematicsThis seemed stupid to me so I went researching. The first book I found was “Rethinking Mathematics” by Eric Gutstein, a professor of Mathematics at the Univ. of Illinois in Chicago.

I wasn’t surprised as to where he came from having already researched the damage Arnie Duncan had done to the Chicago schools before Obama was elected.

This book uses Gutstein’s interpretation of social injustices mostly in America and enjoins that to Mathematical Q & A. It reads almost as if he had taken the writings from within the Earth Charter and converted it to Math.

“In this new expanded and updated edition of Rethinking Mathematics, more than 50 articles show how to weave social justice issues throughout the mathematics curriculum, as well as how to integrate mathematics into other curricular areas.”

Rethinking Mathematics” offers teaching ideas, lesson plans, and reflections by practitioners and mathematics educators. This is real-world math – math that helps students analyze social problems as they gain essential academic skills.”

“This book offers hope and guidance for teachers to enliven and strengthen their math teaching. It will deepen students understanding of society and help prepare them to be critical, active participants in a democracy. Blending theory and practice, this is the only resource of its kind.”  (Thank God).

Teaching Mathematics for Social JusticeUnfortunately, it is NOT the only one of its kind. Take “Teaching Mathematics for Social Justice” by David Stinson. The author says “Educators increasingly recognize the important role that mathematics teaching plays in helping students to understand and overcome social injustice and inequality. This collection of original articles is the start of a compelling conversation among some of the leading figures in critical and social justice mathematics, a number of teachers and educators who have been inspired by them and who have inspiring stories of their own to tell and any reader interested in the intersection of education and social justice. An important read for every educator, this book shows how to teach mathematics so that all students are given the tools they need to confront issues of social justice today and in the future.”

This is another wake-up call as to who is teaching your kids. The educators can know all about our families, but we aren’t supposed to know anything about the person that spends the most time with our children.

Something is very wrong with this picture! Especially since the really good teachers have left teaching and have been replaced by Teach for America teachers who in most cases graduated NOT having a degree in Education and non-certified teachers are being allowed to teach. Check with your local school boards on certification laws.

Both books imply we have been racist in the teaching of math. Since when did one half of the classroom learn from one Math book and the other half a different book?

The spoken and unspoken belief about black students is tied to broader perceptions about black people. So, let’s just say it: Some believe the gap is a function of weak family and community structures, male joblessness, drug use, and permissive cultural values—which they assert predominate in the black community.

What is your “social rational” for the white boys out on the streets selling the dope, beating up women, and causing riots?

Others believe that blacks constitute a community that is largely beyond intervention and that no amount of funding or special programs can fix what ails the perpetually troubled. If this is true liberal democrats, then why is it every education bill you pass is directed at low-income areas?

Is it because the whitey’s that think so much of themselves continually try to drum this nonsense into the black children of this country. You continually tell them they will never amount to anything, don’t even try to get into college and the good one – you will never get a job of any meaning to be able to support a family.

Then these evil men and women like to say that any black child who has asserted themselves to be able to go to college then what they have done is outsmart the stereotype which has been set up and they refer to them as “outliers” – something or someone that lies outside the main body or group that it is a part of, as a cow far from the rest of the herd, or maybe a black or Hispanic child saying, “you are all are wrong, I will succeed”.

These erroneous and insulting beliefs persist out there because they are repeated by a constant recitation of negative statistics about blacks and now also Hispanics in the research literature and unrelenting circulated news accounts. Such wrong and deceitful assertions negate accurate and meaningful portrayals of black and Hispanic people. Mostly, they are misdirecting education and social policy and have skewed funding priorities in education by their constant legislation aimed at “low-income” families.

Regrettably, Americans have been socialized by the scholarly and journalism communities to accept at face value negative data and false information about blacks and been trained to also believe their colored students will “never make anything of themselves”.

Now the new thing is to be sure that middle and high school teachers learn how to incorporate social justice items such as racism and chosen privilege into their classrooms. Who is making the decisions as to what is to be considered “social justice”?

To what end? Here again, they have chosen a “subject” to cause “race baiting” causing hate and discontent.

Many of us who are researching and complaining about how education has been “handled” for the past 10 years (it has been longer but has intensified in the past 10 years through the UN and their wacky “social justice” they apply to whatever as the need arises) understand what is behind this ugly race-baiting.

We have been aware of the teaching of those who sign on to “Teach for America” and they along with edX have now designed a course they have called “Teaching Social Justice Through Secondary Mathematics” is being pushed through a 6-week course for MIDDLE SCHOOL teachers and you can even take online courses from top universities like Columbia. The course intent is to incorporate social justice into their curricula.

According to the course developers, regular math is “too abstract” for many students, and incorporating social justice can help them better understand “the power and meaning” of math.

Pinging directly to the Math classes the question posed is “Do you ask students to think deeply about global and local social justice issues within your mathematics classroom?”

edX is a massive open online course provider. It hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines to a worldwide student body and it was created by MIT and Harvard University.

Part of the problem I see here is the fact edX states they are ” founded by and continue to be governed by colleges and universities. We are the only leading MOOC provider that is both nonprofit and open source. This is one of the big problems since most universities and colleges today are very liberal and have no time for our students when they object to their bias.

The point is they are supposed to blend their math instruction with topics such as poverty, privilege, and inequity to “transform students into GLOBAL THINKERS & MATHEMATICIANS”.

Does this mean knowing and understanding Math alone will not make you a great Mathematician, and you also must believe in “sustainable development and climate change”?

This is Soviet/Nazi type education – brainwashing at its worst. You see the true meaning of “sustainable development” is to get rid of capitalism, we need mathematicians who are supporting the one to achieve the other.

These manipulating, conniving liars will tell you that Math is evil because there is no ethics behind it. This is definitely a form of dehumanizing our children so that population control will not bother them; it will change their outlook on abortion; teach them there are different classes of genocide and sometimes it is a good thing – needed.

A recent article by D. Susan Berry “Common Core Rooted in Math Social Indoctrination” states, “While proponents of the Common Core claim that the new standards are focused on “college and career readiness,” more evidence is surfacing that a central purpose of the initiative is social justice and income redistribution indoctrination.

I agree, and as I stated in my 2 previous postings regarding the G20, Link, Link, the UN and all their supporters who believe they will someday rule the world, know their focus must be in indoctrinating our children to not only believe in “sustainable development”, but support it without question.

That is why they are now working at pushing these climate and social justice lies so hard because time is short and they keep changing their mindset as to what is going to work. Fortunately, enough of us are awake and more are seeing what is happening, their job is getting harder.

We have socialist, Marxist-Communists surrounding our children like Bill Ayers, Linda-Darling Hammond, Bill Gates, Bushes – more and more – coming up with more ideas all the time.

Radical Math” boasts over 700 lesson plans, articles, charts, books, and websites that cover a wide range of socio-political issues including redistribution of wealth, discrimination against the poor by whites and the message that widespread racism against blacks continues in the United States today.

Sorry liberals and UN baiters, most Americans got past your race baiting years ago. We have learned to look at the person not the color of his skin. The next thing to come out will be the use of Math and other subjects as the basis for our distrust of Muslims.

For me, I read their Quŕan to understand where they are coming from!

Social Justice is what “they” are using to say capitalism has created the poor and inequality of the world. Those two items have been around since Moses and yet Pope Francis, the very Pope who shakes hands with Rick Warren acknowledging “Chrislam” states “inequality is the root of social evil”.

Knowing my history as I do I would like to point out there has been extreme social evil in the Catholic church (and we know there has) since the Pope and his Cardinals and Bishops rein over the lower levels of the poor in the church. Francis also has stated capitalists have gotten rich from war and if my History is with me, the Vatican Bank got very full with the church’s collaboration with the Nazi’s and the Catholic church has reigned over others for centuries.

I for one will not share what I have worked for to survive for so many years with others unless I deem them needy which is called Charity, not social justice. I follow no lead or instructions of a socialist Pope who cannot even keep his own house but is looking away or participating in the indoctrination of our children through phony ideology and perception.

I see the “root of social evil” adults of any kind forcing sex upon children!

Are You For Real? Fried Chicken?

Is there a written rule or law that says Fried Chicken signifies what a Black person is? Did I miss that somewhere in my travels or in all the books I’ve read?

Fried ChickenOur First Lady, (though she doesn’t deserve the honor of first lady being capitalized) told the Black citizens of this country they deserve the honor of eating not just any chicken – but fried chicken if they voted on Tuesday, Nov 4, 2014. Not only that, they didn’t have to just vote but make sure they voted for only Democrats.

She even went far enough to give the Black Americans of this country PERMISSION to eat some friend chicken after they voted.

I find her statement the most insulting thing she could have said to the Black people of this country. Does she have in her mind they are all still in the fields, have no intelligence and cannot even think for themselves. I’m actually surprised she didn’t throw in the collard greens for an added treat.

And by the way first lady, what makes you think only Black people vote Democrat or like fried chicken or collard greens for that matter? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised considering some of the other statements you have made regarding various subjects and you are a racist.

ILady Justicet is interesting though that you have never bothered to tell the American people why you no longer have a law license and that you will never be able to practice law again after your daddy spent all that money on you to go to law school. Even though Wikipedia still gives you the title of being a lawyer, without a license you aren’t one, only studied to be one.

But of course we must remember you were never ever happy until the day Barack was elected president. We can forget your Princeton and Harvard Law school education. Or the great jobs you had where you did next to nothing.

We do know your ancestors were slaves and that you came from the Gullah line of people from South Carolina’s low country (great people), but your family did have and took advantage of the great opportunity to move above those types of living conditions. But White people have also – did you forget the first slaves in America were White Irish and the first slave owner was Black African?

Maybe you madam, would do well to return to school to learn Black History Month started out as Negro History WEEK in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson a son of former slaves. The 2nd week of February was chosen in honor of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln who were both born that week. It wasn’t until 1976 when your race took over the whole month.

Even Independence Day lasts for 24 hours – maybe we should change that.

To set the record straight, the first blacks to arrive in America were not slaves, but indentured servants. There is a difference and they were both Black and White.

Indentured servants, especially whites, could (and often did) slip away, and become part of another settlement and simply disappear. A permanent, economically beneficial solution for the elites was sought and implemented.

An added note here that might be fitting is the Bible does address “social injustice”:  The love of money is the root of all evil.”  Nothing against money, but the love of precipitated then as it does now, misery.

Anthony JohnsonOh the name of the first Black slave owner – Anthony Johnson! He came to this country in 1620 as an indentured servant to the Colony of Virginia. He didn’t come freely as so many had but was captured in Angola by neighboring tribesmen and eventually sold to a merchant who transported him to Virginia, where he was then sold to a tobacco farmer. I believe this is known as “black on black” crime!

Despite this, Johnson was not technically a slave, as most think of it.  He was simply required to serve the farmer for a time in exchange for room and board.  He worked on that tobacco farm for 14 years learning a trade, was granted his freedom and was also given payment for his services. He purchased land and what he needed to farm it including BLACK slaves.

So you see first lady, you did have a great deal to be thankful for and – those white Irish slaves? “The Irish slave trade began when James II sold 30,000 Irish prisoners as slaves to the New World. His Proclamation of 1625 required Irish political prisoners be sent overseas and sold to English settlers in the West Indies. By the mid 1600’s, the Irish were the main slaves sold to Antigua and Montserrat. At that time, 70% of the total population of Montserrat were Irish slaves.”

“Ireland quickly became the biggest source of human livestock for English merchants. The majority of the early slaves to the New World were actually white.”

“During the 1650s, over 100,000 Irish children between the ages of 10 and 14 were taken from their parents and sold as slaves in the West Indies, Virginia and New England. During this time, 52,000 Irish (mostly women and children) were sold to Barbados and Virginia. Another 30,000 Irish men and women were also transported and sold to the highest bidder. In 1656, [Oliver] Cromwell ordered that 2000 Irish children be taken to Jamaica and sold as slaves to English settlers.”

One piece of history that seems to get lost for some reason is that the Irish slaves are often remembered as ‘indentured servants.’ However, in most cases during the 17th and 18th centuries, they were no more than “human cattle.”

So once again first lady, you really should take a refresher course in American History and maybe the White Irish of this country will decide to celebrate for a whole month too rather than just one skinny day each year.

In fact, maybe we should be looking for some of the “booty” the Federal government has handed out to all those who like to claim they came from Black slave families. It might be a good thing to go back and really find out for sure if they were “indentured” or just called themselves slaves for the sympathy.

I know they weren’t treated very well – no one who is ever put in a situation like that is, be it here in America or some other country. However, you first lady have never had to endure anything like that and I also find it very interesting you have so much genealogy on your family given they were supposed to be slaves. Most from that far back know nothing to pass on.

By the way, I hope you gave the same chicken eating instructions to all the Democrats who are currently sitting in Congress and the Senate – I wouldn’t want them to feel left out.

And for that final History lesson – it is not “whitey” who has kept you down!

  • The Republican Party brought an end to slavery which led to the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution.
  • 1854 – (R) Party formed on the Platform of Anti-Slavery
  • 1865 – 13th Amendment to abolish slavery – 100% R party; 23% D party
  • 1866 – Civil Rights Act – enacted by the R Party to all emancipated slaves
  • 1868 – 14th Amendment – Citizenship – 94% R party; 0% D party
  • 1870 – 15th Amendment – Right to Vote – 100% R party; 0% D party
  • 1871 – Anti- KKK Civil Rights Act – Enacted Republican Congress
  • 1875 – Anti Discrimination – 99.5% R party; 0% D party
  • 1957 – Civil Rights Act 1957 – Established Civil Rights Commission – Sen. John F. Kennedy and the D Party were opposed
  • 1964 – Civil Rights Act 1964 – Passed after cloture vote – written and introduced by Sen. Everett McKinley (R) – 80% R party; 63% D party

Black AmericansAs is apparent, the Democratic Party began to come around but, unfortunately, the Democratic Party chose to move on with indoctrination, manipulation, applauding abortions, telling Black Americans they couldn’t succeed and generally keeping them under the “democratic thumb of entitlement. This is the technique the “highfalutin” Black populace like the Obama’s, Schumer’s, Rev. Wright, and Jesse Jackson’s of America have and continue to use on the Black American’s in this country.

Someday they will realize it is not the White or Hispanic people living in this country who have made their lives miserable, but the Democratic Party and some of their own people.

And thank you for the permission for that fried chicken first lady – I did have some last night and it was really good. However, I heard about your remarks today so I really didn’t have your permission, nor do I ever need your permission to do anything.

One last thing! Don’t you think it is time you referred to yourself as American or did you lose your citizenship with your law license?

Nelson Mandela, 1918 to 2013 – A Good man or an Evil Man, you decide…

Again, Education comes in many forms!

By Fred Brownbill on December 6, 2013 in Fred Brownbill Blog – Re-post
http://www.SaveAmericaFoundation.com

Nelson Mandela. The name resonates around the world and people see a black man, walking out of the gates of Robben Island Prison in South Africa after serving 18 out of his 27 years prison term. He is a Nobel Peace Prize winner, but then so was Barack Hussein Obama who up to the time he received his prize, had done absolutely less than nothing to earn it. That prize has long since lost its’ value and meaning as it has become yet another left wing Progressive political tool.

Let me take you on a short trip back in time, from a man who was born and lived in Africa, and saw the results of the ANC work, as well as other Marxist/Communist terrorist groups like ZANU, ZAPU, SWAPO etc from the 70′s.

South Africa at the time had a policy of seperate development. They put a name to it, Apartheid, a word so synonomous with evil due to the propaganda of the left leaning national and international media. I am NOT saying that racism is good, it is not, but what was happening in South Africa happened in every country world wide. America (segragation, the Native Americans), Africa (tribalism), India (caste system), Australia where Aboriginies were hunted as game, England where open racism was constantly in play, including toys that kids played with like “Golly Wogs” (look them up), Sweden where although they were one of the loudest voices against racism were abjectly racist towards anyone of color who they came across in their country, etc.

Mandela was born to a Xhosa Chief, and was therefore a Prince in the eyes of the tribe. As he grew up he obtained a law degree and the attention of a white professor, Joe Slovo, a hard core communist. This communist professor was a Lithuanian, a Colonel in the Russian KGB and would influence Mandela through out his years.

Mandela joined the ANC, a Communist Terrorist group, and rapidly rose up in the ranks becoming a Commander in the military wing.

After three years ten members of MK, the military wing of the ANC, were arrested with more than 200,000 hand grenades and nearly 50,000 land mines, 107 plans to blow up specific buildings and more than 50 tons of high explosives. Found also was a box of propaganda fliers naming Nelson Mandela the leader, complete with a 94 page essay written in Madela’s own hand. The subject title was ”How to be a good Communist.” Mandela, and eight of the ten originally arrested, were found guilty of high crimes and sentenced to life in prison, and many thought he should have been hanged.

While in prison Mandela continued leading and planning attacks and his intent was to create a communist government in South Africa. He wanted to achieve his aims with violence against the whites. Those blacks that were looking for change through peace were summararily necklaced (the practice of tying the victim with barbed wire and putting gas soaked tires around the shoulders and arms of the victim and setting them alight.) I saw this in practice several times and death is slow and extremely painful, but made the ANC point quickly.

Due to pressure from left wing international media and also extremely progressive policies world wide, the apartheid state of South Africa had massive economic sanctions placed on it, causing huge unemployment and pain, mainly hitting the black population where unemployment was at over 50% as International Companies were forced to close and leave the country.

International media touted Mandela as a “Freedom Fighter” (a progressive Socialist word for terrorist), he was even compared with George Washington and Abe Lincoln and worse of all, to Martin Luther King, who was a man of real wisdom, peace and God. Those two were as different to each other as tea and coffee.

Mandela started promoting a new policy, that of Liberation before Education. This promoted the use of roving gangs of black youths to burn down their schools, attack, rape, maim, torture and kill farmers. Over 3000 farmers out of the 40, 000 commercial farmers died during this campaign, all in great pain and in very uncivilized manners.

The world did not see this as genocide as they were too concerned with political correctness and did not want to upset the left wing African terrorists and so called leaders.

In 1984 Henry Kissinger and the US backed Mandela financially and he became president along with Joe Slovo who at that time was chairman of the Africa Communist Party. There were now 16 communist members in the South African Government.

In short, Nelson Mandela was a communist, a terrorist and I believe an evil man, one who has been made an angel by the left wing main stream media and the equally left wing world politicians and the United Nations. The propaganda displayed for him has been open and to me disturbing as so many have no real idea who the real Nelson Mandela was.

In my mind, the world has lost another communist, one responsible for many deaths of innocent men, women and children through his acts and the acts he inspired.

Another point that strikes me strongly is how rich these people become. They have amassed massive wealth. Look at Robert Mugabe, the Marxist leader in neighboring Zimbabwe who rules with a rod of iron as do all dictators. They are both extremely rich, they also have and are living into their 90′s where as the people they rule over or so called represent have a life expectancy of less than half that and live in abject poverty.

Just my opinion America…Fred Brownbill.

Thank you Fred!
